After uniting on a band model of Gaho’s Begin Over in 2020, KAVE have reworked into an precise group with a correct debut. Fronted by Gaho, the band boasts an eclectic mixture of producers that add a novel contact to Korea’s Ok-rock scene. Legend acts as their first title monitor and delivers a mixture of grit and polish.
When you didn’t know this was a rock band, you may mistake Legend for a rock-tinged idol group monitor. The bounding percussion virtually begs for a charismatic dance routine whereas the shouted refrain isn’t too dissimilar from what teams like Stray Youngsters are delivering. This blurring of genres and expectations works in Legend‘s favor, serving to KAVE stand out amongst different rock acts. I’m not doing backflips over any of the music’s melodies, however I really like the depth and conviction with which they’re delivered. From Gaho’s gutsy vocals to the jagged textures of the guitar, KAVE actually throw down right here. I’m particularly taken with the pre-chorus, which pulses with addictive rhythm and fierce charisma.
