Lovely (from Fallin’ Mild – 2019)
The piano arpeggio that opens this monitor is attractive and guarantees a way of dynamism that by no means fairly materializes. The instrumental shifts as we hit the primary verse and the monitor transforms into… for lack of a greater phrase… a little bit of a hoedown? Sadly, the refrain melody doesn’t work properly with this type and the vocals are oddly reserved towards the extra forceful instrumental (the blending is bizarre). This isn’t unhealthy, but it surely’s lacking most of the hallmarks GFriend achieve this properly. Additionally they repeat the phrase “stunning” approach an excessive amount of for my liking!
