BLACKPINK, BTS’s Jimin, And OH MY GIRL Earn RIAJ Platinum And Gold Certifications For Streaming In Japan


The Recording Business Affiliation of Japan (RIAJ) has introduced its newest batch of official certifications!

In 2020, the RIAJ applied a brand new certification system for on-line streaming of songs, as an addition to its pre-existing certification programs for bodily album shipments and digital obtain gross sales. In accordance with the brand new system, songs are licensed silver as soon as they attain 30 million streams, gold at 50 million streams, and platinum at 100 million streams.

This month, BLACKPINK earned an official platinum certification for the Korean model of their 2017 hit “AS IF IT’s YOUR LAST,” which surpassed 100 million streams in Japan.

In the meantime, BTS’s Jimin’s solo tune “Who” and OH MY GIRL’s beloved 2020 B-side “Dolphin” had been each licensed gold for reaching 50 million streams every in Japan.
